Samsung retook the top position with 20.8% market share, shipping 60.1 million smartphones in Q1 compared to Apple's 50.1 million units and 17.3% share. Xiaomi saw strong growth of 33.8% to ship 40.8 million units and become the third largest vendor globally. The recovery strengthens smartphone fundamentals like higher average selling prices as consumers keep devices longer.
