Description: We left Cusco (the navel of the earth) for 5 days and 4 nights trekking >73kms in total from Mollepata (2900m) to Machu Picchu. The first mucho frio night was spent at Soraypampa (3900m) before the hike up to Mt Salkantay (4630m) and then downwards toward Challay (2800m). Day 3 and 4 saw a much needed visit to the hot springs as well as some recreational zip lining in Santa Teresa before the final leg to Aguas Calientes.
