Description: A chance find of a Red-banded sand wasp (Ammophila sabulosa) preparing it's burrow with a stunned caterpillar laying ready. It then took the caterpillar underground and filled in the entrance. The caterpillar is tentatively identified as being in the Noctuidae (owlet moths) family, possibly a Knot Grass (Acronicta rumicis).nnKids are fascinated by nature, and it's rare to witness such an event, and even rarer to have a handy video camera just there.nnNo music added, and the few on site comments
