First flight of an own design solid fuel rocket-powered r/c glider. All up weight 8.5 oz (even with 1.5oz of lead in the nose), aileron and elevator, rocket motor Estes D12-0 (plugged).nnI have been wanting to make one of these for ages and as I couldn't find a kit, I designed and built it myself. As you can see, it seems to go OK in both boost and glider phases.nnAfter trimming, it now goes up straight - next time, two motors will be used! Success or going home with a paper bag of bits methinks
