With literally only TWO video clips of the Olde Time Strongmen performing the Bent Press, there's definitely quite a bit of trial and error! While by NO MEANS the best of Bent Pressers, l believe l have studied the lift more than anyone today! The Bent Press has often been described as a lift of supports:shifting your body from one supporting position to another until its time to lockout the arm and stand up. This time, l was able to shift things differently and felt MUCH MORE support. I could immediately feel muscles tighten up in different areas than normal. This is only 102¼lb via a Hampton 100lb plate, but with this feeling of more support, l feel bigger...MUCH BIGGER weights are to come!
