It's my path.<br/>It's interesting. Listening to well intentioned advice as a teen led me down a path that's no longer for me, & I realized it in my early 20s. Some of my mom's friends think I'll be good at jobs, but no thanks! My experiences at my schools jaded the normal path for me. I'll let them talk shit about me to each other & let them shoot the breeze at my expense. Love ya though. It's not the first or last time people will talk about me & I'm cool w/ it. Remember people wouldn't talk about or bother you if you were nothing. (& in some sense, people being jealous of you means you are going places in life. The celebrities you know & people who are successful didn't fit in w/ others, they stand out. Look at how many haters your favorite celebrities have & consider yourself going in the right direction).<br/><br/>The result from those school experiences was developing skills & mindsets that's not obvious & I don't talk about it (the list is still growing as I write this).Then I was like Universe, gimme a sign's more about developing skills, & letting the successes speak for itself. Learn to talk less & make more moves. <br/><br/>(Mindset) Success secret #4. It's too easy to take the crab in the barrel mentality route & drag someone down b/c you're down. Can you be one of those who elevates someone? Having a negative mindset towards others won't lead me to success.<br/><br/>P.S. 2. I'm still bad at asking for help. Just being honest. Even though I no longer believed in the religion of my family, and he remained a key figure in that religion until his death, I still respected Billy Paul. I knew him since I was a small child, and there were multiple times that he helped me through some very difficult trials. Today, I have to re-live many of those same emotions. <br/><br/>I was deeply saddened when I learned that Billy Paul had developed cancer. Like many of my friends and family in William Branham’s cult of personality, I wanted to him to get better. He was my friend, but I wouldn’t wish cancer on my worst enemy. <br/><br/>When I got news that he was healed of cancer, I smiled. God still has the power to heal, no matter who you are or what you have done. I heard it through multiple people. Ministers in the “Message” mentioned it in their sermons, old friends of the family mentioned it in their testimonies, and more. I truly thought Billy Paul had been healed. I know many of those people of influence in the “Message” personally. They are really, really good people. They had no reason to be dishonest. <br/><br/>Today, I received my copy of Billy Paul’s death certificate, and my heart is broken. Billy Paul died from the same pancreatic cancer that these men — men that I once looked up to and respected — claimed had been healed by God. Worse, he suffered from other problems they never mentioned. Coronary artery disease. Diabetes. Intractable abdominal pain. In fact, those four combined were his cause of death.<br/><br/>As I mentioned some time ago, when Billy Paul died, I could not help but think about the many times Billy Paul pointed people to William Branham’s prophecy about Los Angeles sinking before he was an old man. That was my memory. It was part of my life. I mentioned this publicly, and our website and blog received an instant backlash from ministers and members of the cult. Ministers went so far as to claim that Branham’s failed prophecy was fulfilled, because part of the prophecy mentioned sharks swimming near the old building that used to be the May company, and they came up with the bright idea that there must have been a shark tank inside the building at some point in time — completely ignoring all of the other failed details of Branham’s prophecy.<br/><br/>Many of those same men are the ones who claimed that Billy Paul was healed from his cancer.
